I am interested in buying a house for my family and I saw a program about purchasing tax lien properties, does anyone have experience doing this, what are the procedure? Any advice? Because this sounds too good to be true and I don’t want to get my hopes up.

Is it a good idea to buy a tax lien property that is listed as a homestead? Does that mean that my family will have to live in the house?
The state I am in, you have ownership after two years,on tax lien properties,so would it be wise to buy a homestaed property?

I am looking for an investment and a family member suggested I purchase tax lien properties. He lives in another state and he is not sure how it works in PA. I have been doing some research online but I have only found limited information.
If anyone has purchased a property, I need to know how to get started. Everyone says to go through the Tax Assessors office, but I can not find one in Pennsylvania.

and now I want to apply them. My first deal I want to do an “Assignment of Contract”. I have a seller in my area who has Tax Lien properties that he purchased at the once a year Tax Sale in my State, and he has a property for 0K that has comps in the area for 0k, How do I go about doing an “Assignment of Contract” without paying any money out of pocket for this deal is my question?

I've been thinking about investing in Tax Lien properties. I'm still doing my research about it. Could anyone give me some advice about it? Or if anyone ever done that?
